Before becoming an English tutor, Melanie Davis earned a B.A. in Spanish (with a minor in French) at Covenant College and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics (with a TESOL concentration) at Georgia State University. She is an experienced English language tutor having taught at private ESL schools and in KSU's Intensive English Program before joining the awesome team at KSU’s English Language Program. Driven by care and compassion, she takes pride in providing a relaxing environment to learn English. As a tutor, her goals include helping students gain confidence in various aspects of the English language and getting to know students beyond their English language goals. When she is not excitedly assisting students, she loves going on long walks with her dog Samson, meeting and petting new dogs (pretty much anything that has to do with dogs), and spending time with her family and friends playing games, going out to eat and traveling. If you step into her office, you can get a glimpse of all of her favorite things through the photos she has hanging on the walls.
