Brainstorming Activity

Purpose:

Deciding what to research is not always easy. With so many important topics and issues in the world, you might have trouble narrowing it down. This activity will help you choose an issue to research.

Task:

Step 1: Write down a list of current events or that interest you. These can be broadly drawn from headlines or can be related to specific discourse communities of which you are a part.  

Step 2: List potential audiences that might be interested in the issues you have identified.  

Step 3: Consider which issues might be most timely and relevant to the potential audiences you have identified.  

Step 4: Identify the two or three issues that interest you most. Fill in the information below:
